Legend has it that the wearing of natural gemstones would bring luck and good fortune or drive away evil spirits. The brooches and pendants we offer contain polished natural pebble gemstones and each design has been influenced by ancient artifacts housed in museums.

This style of jewelry became particularly popular in the late-Victorian era. In particular Queen Victoria herself, with her passion for all things Scottish, was an advocate of the style.
